Linda asks…Why do classical songs have numbers or no name?Why do some of the classical songs have just a generic name with a number after it? For example, Symphony No.140, Piano Concerto No.1 . I'm sure there are many more but these are just some I can remember. Were the composers just too lazy to think up of names for them or is there another reason for this naming?admin answers:All classical SONGS have names, usually taken from the first line of the words (as in most other genres).
